Overview

The Manage Job page - often referred to as "inside a job" - is where you view and edit the full detail of a single job. The main body of the page is organised into sections, and a set of tabs on the right cover additional aspects of the job.

This article is a quick index to those sections and tabs. Several are big enough topics to have their own dedicated articles, linked below.

Page sections

Allocations

Shows and lets you change the driver, vehicle, or subcontractor allocated to the job.

The Drivers Authority Required toggle allows you to turn off the requirement for the allocated staff member to have a DA.

Schedule

The job's scheduled clock on, depart depot, shift commence or pickup, shift end or drop off, arrive depot and clock off times, plus unpaid breaks.

Vehicle Movements

This section allows you to set the departing from & arriving at depots as well as whether the staff member will be departing from and arriving at the depot in a car or a bus.

Allowances

Lets you add allowances to the job, selecting from the list of preconfigured allowances and specifying a quantity for each - more than one allowance can be added. Allowances may also arrive already added, if they were configured at the shift level and flowed through when the job was generated. Allowances themselves are set up on the separate allowances configuration page.

Completion Details

The actual times and breaks recorded once the job is finished, normally entered by the driver in the kiosk but can also be entered directly by operations. These are the details that appear on the driver's timesheet.

Fatigue Breaks Recorded in the Tablet

Shows the actual break times the driver recorded via the tablet while out on the job, imported into the job once it's completed. This is the actual, as-taken counterpart to Scheduled Breaks (below), which are the fatigue-mandated breaks planned into the job. When the job is completed, these breaks will be used by the fatigue calculator to determine whether the driver is compliant with fatigue regulations.

Staff Member Requirements

Skill Spec requirements attached to the job - transferred in automatically from the shift or charter booking - restricting which staff members can be allocated. Only staff members with the required skill spec will appear in the staff allocation dropdown. See Skill Specs.

Vehicle Requirements

Tech Spec requirements attached to the job, restricting which vehicles can be allocated - the vehicle-side equivalent of Staff Member Requirements. Only vehicles that meet the required tech spec will appear in the vehicle allocation dropdown. See Tech Specs.

Tabs on the right of the page

Conflicts

Shows any driver or vehicle conflicts on the job. See Managing Job Conflicts.

Attachments

Documents available to the driver for this job, for the kiosk and/or the tablet. Attachments can come from several places: a Booking Attachment added to a charter booking applies to every job created from that booking, a trip-specific attachment applies only to the job(s) for that trip, and attachments can also be inherited from the shift or added directly to the job. See Shift Attachments.

History

A log of every field that was changed on the job - what it was changed from and to, plus who made the change and when. Useful for checking whether a job was acknowledged by the driver and then changed afterwards, and whether that change needs to be communicated to them. See Managing Job Acknowledgements.

Activity

A log of the job's lifecycle events - job created, acknowledged, completed, duplicated, and similar milestones - as distinct from History, which records the field-by-field detail of what changed.

Continue

Lets you link this job to another job the same driver and vehicle will run back-to-back, so the driver is paid continuously and conflicts between the two jobs are cleared automatically. See Continuations.

Progress

Shows the driver's progress through the job as recorded on the tablet in the vehicle. Allows tablet progress to be added or edited to correct a driver’s error or add in missing breaks that the driver forgot to record.

Scheduled Breaks

This tab allows scheduled or estimated breaks to be added to the job which the fatigue calculator will use to determine the allocated drivers compliance. These are the planned breaks, as distinct from Fatigue Breaks Recorded in the Tablet (above), which are the breaks actually taken. See Driver Managed Fatigue and Scheduled Fatigue Breaks.

Splitting a job

<aside> ✂️

Charter jobs with three or more boarding points can also be split into multiple jobs from the Manage Job page, using the scissors icon shown next to one of the middle routes - this opens the Split Job screen. Once split, each half shows a Linked tab, letting you jump between the two. See Splitting Jobs.
