Overview

Roster groups allow you to combine your rosters into groups that can be used to streamline generating jobs each week.

Organising rosters into groups allows you to:

Prerequisites

Creating roster groups

  1. Navigate to OperationsConfiguration → Roster Groups.

  2. Click in the header to create a new roster group.

  3. Enter a unique roster group name.

  4. State whether or not the roster group will rotate.

Note: When setting up a rotating roster, ensure that the start date aligns with the first day of your working week. For instance, if your workweek runs from Tuesday to Monday, the roster should begin on a Tuesday.

  5. Click + Add Roster and choose a roster from the dropdown list to add to the group. Note: A roster can only be included in one roster group, rosters that appear greyed out are already part of another group & cannot be added again. ❕Note: For rotating roster groups, the order of the rosters shown dictates the way staff members will step through the rotation each week. Use the up and down arrows 🔼 🔽 to reorder the rosters to suit the rotation.

  6. Once you have added all required rosters to the group, click Submit.

Rotating roster groups

Rotating roster groups allow rosters to be grouped together and have staff automatically cycle through a different roster line each week.

Drivers allocated to a roster that is part of a rotating roster group will move down one step to a new roster line at the start of each new week that gets generated. Drivers will continue to rotate through all rosters in the roster group as each new week is generated.

Roster 2 Driver 2 🔵Driver 1 Driver 3
Roster 3 Driver 3 Driver 2 🔵Driver 1

The example above will take three weeks to complete one rotation.
