General Training
General Training jobs are designed to be used in situations where a staff member completes or delivers training that doesn’t involve them driving a vehicle, such as — inductions, Driver Mentor, refresher courses, toolbox sessions, classroom or online modules, and any other training that isn't tied to driving a vehicle or specific route. Each General Training job appears against the staff member's training history and contributes to their engaged hours.
General Training differs from Route Training:
- General Training is a standalone job type used for any training not linked to a route (for example, an induction day or a first-aid refresher). No vehicle is required.
- Route Training is training a driver completes while learning a specific route, and is recorded against a charter, rail, urban or school service job.
Both are shown in the staff member's Training section, on separate tabs.
