The Holidays configuration page can be found under the Configuration menu on the right hand side of both the Sales & Operations pages.
This page lets you add both Public and School Holidays to the system as well as select which depot the holiday applies to.
The holidays entered here are used in timesheet calculations, shown on the leave calendar to assist when approving leave & also have an impact on which jobs will be created when generating jobs from rosters.
Navigate to either the Sales page or the Operations page, then select Holidays under Configuration
Click the ➕ in the header of the page.
Enter a description
Select the Holiday Type as either Public Holiday or School Holiday
Choose the depot(s) the holiday applies to
Input the start & end dates
Click Submit
❕Note: A single day holiday will have the same start & end date.
The Leave Schedule page shows both public & school holidays to assist when approving & managing leave.
When generating jobs, the system takes into account the "Runs on Public Holiday" field inside the shift which allows you to specify whether a job will be created from that shift on a public holiday or not. If a public holiday falls within the date range of the jobs being generated and the shift is set to "Runs on a Public Holiday," the system will generate jobs on that day. Otherwise, no jobs will be generated.
School holidays entered in the system still have no impact on the ability to generate school runs on those days.
The public holidays entered in the system will be shown on staff timesheets & the appropriate paid hours will be allocated based on the staff member’s employment status. See the example below from a full-time staff member’s timesheet.
