Overview

Needs Verification means that a major change has been made to the booking & the jobs no longer match the booking.

Someone needs to look at the changes made to the booking and if necessary, make those same changes inside the jobs to ensure the jobs meet the new requirements.

Booking changes flowing through to jobs, explained.

When a quote gets booked, jobs are created with a Job Status of Incomplete.

An Incomplete Status means that the job hasn't been touched, no allocations have been made or schedule times added.

When jobs are in an incomplete state, all changes made to the booking will flow through to the jobs automatically.

Once the jobs have the schedule times added, the Job Status changes to Not Acknowledged.

From that point on, only minor changes will flow from the booking through to the jobs automatically.

Minor changes include:- Driver Notes, Description, Attachments, Invoice or Purchase Order, Quote Type, Customer or Contact details, Passenger numbers, Extras.

Major changes include:- Boarding point, Date, Time, Vehicle options.

Major changes to the booking will not flow through to the jobs, the jobs will be automatically deleted & regenerated. An email will be sent to Operations with the details of the deleted jobs including the allocated driver & vehicle.

There are exceptions to the above scenarios where booking changes either flow through to the jobs or the jobs are deleted & regenerated. These exceptions are where jobs get put into a state of Needs Verification.

When do jobs go into Needs Verification

When a change is made to a booking & the jobs associated with that booking are currently in progress. This includes Split Jobs, if one of the split jobs or one half of the split is in progress when a booking change is made, both halves of the split will be put into Needs Verification.

Note: In Progress means that tablet progress has been recorded against the job & the job is not yet completed.

How do you know when you have jobs that Need Verification

You will see a red triangle next to the job number in either the Jobs Page or the Charter Diary to indicate the Needs Verification status.
